Celebrating 50 years of the MEA

Today, MEA is the premier international organization for faculty development of the marketing professoriate. The organization’s mission is to provide worldwide leadership in promoting the development and sharing of scholarship that enhances marketing education and advances marketing knowledge and practice.

The MEA was originally incorporated as the Western Marketing Educators' Association, a nonprofit organization, in 1978, and in 1979, by the State of California. 

By vote of the members in June 2000, the organization became national in scope, and the name was changed to Marketing Educators' Association (MEA).​
